16 Restaurants Offer an Homage to Fromage in Downtown’s First Cheese Week

The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) is partnering with Visit California, producers of Restaurant Month, for the inaugural Cheese Week. Taking place at sixteen participating Downtown Long Beach restaurants from January 21 -27, this deliciously themed week will feature special cheese inspired menu items that delight the taste buds.
“We’re excited to bring the first ever Cheese Week to Downtown,” said DLBA President and CEO Kraig Kojian. “By working collaboratively with local businesses, we’re able to have a unique take on the highly anticipated Restaurant Month while setting the stage for the diverse and eclectic restaurants of Downtown to showcase their best menu items.”
More than a dozen Downtown restaurants will pay homage to fromage as they get creative with special menus and beer and wine pairings for Cheese Week. From flaming cheese, to prix fixe menus, to beer cheese soup; restaurants will serve cheese hot and cold, crumbled and melted, spread and sprinkled, and even on fire.
Participating restaurants include Agaves Kitchen & Tequila, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria, Brew Haus Coffee & Tea, Congregation Ale House, District Wine, Gaucho Grill, George’s Greek Café, Kabob Curry, L’Opera, Omelette Inn, Stefano’s Pizza, The Potholder Cafe Too, The Sky Room, The Stave, and Utopia.
