Bring a picnic dinner and get your groove on this summer at the Rancho Los Cerritos Summer Concert Series. Four outdoor concerts will feature toe tapping bluegrass of The Witcher Brothers, old school blues with Bernie Pearl & the Bernie Pearl Band, a tribute to the surf and beach party bands of the ‘60s with Surfing Safari, and jazz sounds of The Christine Guter Quintet.
All concerts at the Rancho take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The gates open at 5:00 p.m. for picnicking on the lawn.
- Sunday, July 12 – Witcher Brothers – a unique blend of bluegrass, country, blues and western swing that creates an entertaining and distinctive sound. Their variety of energetic tunes are sure to get you bobbing your head and tapping your feet!
- Thursday, July 30 – Bernie Pearl & the Bernie Pearl Band – The blues is “life itself” to Bernie Pearl. He is a guitarist with an upbeat, finger-poppin’ picking style. No traditionalist, his melodic interpretations are new and personal each time.
- Sunday, August 9 – Surfing Safari – A tribute to the surf and beach party bands of the ’60s
- Thursday, August 27 – The Christine Guter Quintet – All that Jazz
The concerts are free and the museum will be open until 7:30 p.m. for self-guided tours during the concerts.
