Forty Restaurants Participating in 2011 CARE to Dine
2011-08-17 · By Editor
A meal at a nice restaurant can mean a lot of things to many people, but on Thursday, August 18, it can also be a means of showing that you “CARE” about making sure that the people in our community have the resources needed in the fight against HIV/AIDS. For twenty-five years, the CARE Program at St. Mary’s Medical Center has been providing what has been called the “gold standard” in HIV care.
While the C.A.R.E. Program receives funding from federal, state and local governments, those funding sources are at risk even in the best of times, even more so these days given the current state of the economy. As a result, their community fund raising efforts have become even more important. You can offer the gift of care by participating in the CARE To Dine event taking place on Thursday, August 18 at participating Long Beach restaurants. All you have to do: Enjoy a meal at one of the many fine participating establishments and 20 percent of your check will be donated to the CARE program.
With forty restaurants to choose from, making a difference has never been so easy… or as delicious! For more information about CARE and the CARE To Dine event, including the most up to date list of participating restaurants, visit the CARE website at careprogram.org.
