St. Mary Medical Center Host to 2012 Greater Long Beach  Community Needs Assessment Presentation

2012 Greater Long Beach Community The 2012 Greater Long Beach Community Health Needs Assessment Presentation has been scheduled for Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Medical Center Health Enhancement Center, 1055 Linden Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90813. The 2012 Greater Long Beach Community Health Needs Assessment is sponsored by MemorialCare Health System (Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Community Hospital Long Beach, Miller Children’s Hospital), and St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Dignity Health, in collaboration with Long Beach Health and Human Services and Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center.

A brief presentation of the key findings of the Community Health Needs Assessment will be given by Dr. Tony Sinay from California State University Long Beach followed by a panel discussion of the implications of the findings for hospitals, and how the identified needs will be incorporated into community benefit planning efforts. Panel members include Gail Daly, COO, St. Mary Medical Center and Peter Mackler, Executive Director Government Relations and Policy for MemorialCare Health System. Ron Arias, Long Beach Health and Human Services, will moderate the panel. The public is invited to ask questions and offer their thoughts about how to best respond to needs in the Greater Long Beach area. Refreshments will be served.
