3 gourmet pet stores to treat your pooch

share this:

Whiskers Pet Beastro in Belmont Shore closed earlier this month. A go-to store for many Long Beach pet lovers, the “bowtique” will be missed by the local pet community.

For pets (and their people) that enjoy a taste of gourmet treats there are several Long Beach pet shops that serve up a selection of natural handmade dog and cat treats designed especially for pup and feline tastes.

Do you have a favorite pet shop or place to buy dog treats in Long Beach? Leave a note in the comments…

PJ’s Pet Cafe

PJ’s Pet Cafe lovingly bakes a variety of treats and complete meals using their own recipes. Whether you have a cat or a dog, their custom creations include a large selection to please even finicky tastebuds.

PJ’s is located at 449 East Broadway in Long Beach. Visit them online at www.pjspetcafe.com or call (213) 928-2374.

Chewsy Dog

Chewsy Dog (formerly Cosmopawliton) is a one-stop shop for all things pet! From Doga classes (doggy/people partner yoga) to training, portraits and parties, this pet boutique has one mission — to provide “necessities and accessories for your dear dog.” Treats include a variety of pup cookies, puppy pops and pizza shaped snacks for the “chewsy” pooch in your life.

Chewsy Dog is located at 4107 Viking Way in Long Beach. Visit them online at www.chewsy-dog.com or call (562) 354-6040.

Roy Robbins Gifts

Roy Robbins Gifts and Stationery Store is the perfect place for pets that like to shop with their people. The Bixby Knolls gift store has a fine selection of unique gifts that people can browse while also picking up a few treats for their favorite dog. According to the owner Roy, the gourmet treats are the same line carried by the recently closed Whiskers in Belmont Shore.

Roy Robbins Gifts and Stationery store is located at 4244 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. For more information call the store at (562) 424-2210 or visitwww.royrobbinsgiftsandstationery.com.

  1. Thank you so much for the kind words and wonderful posting of our business. We have been open only a couple months now and Rosanna and I are loving every minute. We are dedicated to making sure our loving pets get only the best and most fresh treats possible. We have served over 6000 treat to date. We love talking with the owners as they enjoy the time with thier pet and the free coffee, cappuccino, lemonade and iced tea. This block has opened up 4 new businesses in the middle of a recession ( Pj’s Pet Cafe, Sipology, The Look, and Estravides Gallery) that is an amazing story I would love to read some day . Thanks again for the support.
