Community Hospital Volunteers Las Damas Installs New Board

Thirty-five members and guests of Las Damas de la Plaza met Thursday, January 20 at Elisa’s Tea Room for their installation of officers. Before the installation members enjoyed a traditional English Tea service including scones and finger sandwiches with various flavors of tea.
Serving as Installation Officer, Kathy Berry, CHLB Foundation Development Director, presented each officer with a candy representing their newly board roll in Las Damas. Candy such as Dots, indicating that the Corresponding Secretary will cross her T’s and DOT her I’s.
Las Damas de la Plaza is committed to promoting and advancing the welfare of Community Hospital of Long Beach. Since they were founded in 1984 they have raised over $1 million dollars for the hospital, including the recent $50,000 to the Emergency Department Challenge Campaign.
