Detectives Investigate Murder; Seek Additional Information

On Sunday February 28, 2016, at approximately 3:24 a.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to assist the Long Beach Fire Department in the 1000 block of Norman Court on a call of a dead body.
When officers arrived, they located a deceased male adult who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso. At this time, the name of the victim is not being released. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will positively identify the victim and notify next of kin.
No one is in custody and no suspect information is available. A motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation remains ongoing.
