Long Beach business Sasha’s – Living with Style will host a fundraiser benefitting the Bluff Park Historic Lamppost Project, which is an historic preservation and community benefit project of the Bluff Park Neighborhood Association (BPNA), a nonprofit entity. Organizers and project committee co-chairs Jeff Mallin and Marco Pizzo, who share the passion for “BRINGING LAMPPOST HISTORY BACK” to the Bluff Park neighborhood, are excited for a great turn-out to help build the project’s momentum.

Sasha Witte, owner of the local home style boutique, will light up the evening by donating 20% of her sales that night toward the neighborhood project. The project’s goal is to remove modern style street lights in Bluff Park and replace them with historic lampposts as currently found on East First Street. The project will occur in phases over many years and is planned to address the entire Historic District.

On Thursday, March 24th, from 6 to 8 PM, “A Light Evening of Song and Style” will enchant patrons with music and song from local Long Beach professional actor singers Karole Forman and Michael Barnum. Song selections will include the theme of “light” to honor lamppost history and will be performed in the charming, intimate surroundings of the shop’s Craftsman style located at 3237 East Broadway.

Proceeds will go towards fundraising the lamppost efforts, and guests will take part in delicious food bites paired with wine tastings – all from local businesses.

The unique evening is an opportunity to show your neighborhood support for the Historic Lamppost Project while enjoying live vocals and music, sipping and savoring tasty morsels, and shopping the high-style accessories and home furnishings in a warm local neighborhood setting.

Space is limited. Advance Tickets $30. If available, $40 at the door. For ticket reservations and more information on “A Light Evening of Song and Style” CONTACT: 562.434.8824. EMAIL: Bluff.Park.Historic.Lamppost@gmail.com. Go to www.BluffPark.org
