The Long Beach Department of Technology & Innovation has been recognized with a national award for the innovative use of technology in creating and delivering genuine business value. Long Beach was the only city to be recognized for CIO 100 award, along with an impressive group of companies including Aflac, Dell, Hilton, Intel and Wells Fargo.

“Long Beach is using technology and innovation to increase business efficiency, improve health outcomes and safety, and help residents communicate more efficiently with City Hall,” said Mayor Robert Garcia.

“Long Beach is growing and evolving,” said Bryan Sastokas, Chief Information Officer for the City of Long Beach. “This award is a great example of the Mayor and City Council’s dedication toward innovation technology that allows the City to deliver genuine business value.”

The City of Long Beach also uses innovation and technology to deliver excellent service when partnering with local organizations, entrepreneurs, and vendors.

The 29th annual CIO 100 Awards will be presented during the CIO 100 Symposium in Rancho Palos Verdes in August.
