Fifth District residents living in the neighborhood bounded by Conant, Clark, Carson, and Charlemagne, are invited to discuss whether to implement a temporary preferential parking zone in their neighborhood to discourage LBCC students from taking up all the parking spaces on their streets.

The meeting will be held Thursday, March 6, at the El Dorado Community Center, 2800 Studebaker at 7pm in the bridge room.

City Traffic Engineer Dave Roseman will explain how the temporary program would work. Residents will be able to ask questions and comment on the proposed program.

The temporary project would give residents three parking passes at no charge for 18 months while discouraging parking by students with signage explaining that one must have a preferential pass to park in the neighborhood.

For more information about the meeting, call the Office of Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske at 562-570-6932.
