Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, in conjunction with the Antioch Youth Ministry and the City of Long Beach Neighborhood Services Bureau is hosting a 6th District Neighborhood Clean Up on Saturday, October 8th, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at 1304 E. 17th Street.

Councilman Andrews invites all businesses and neighborhood residents to join the Central Area clean up. Volunteer teams from Antioch Youth Ministry and the community will take to the streets armed with rakes, shovels, trash bags and gloves. The event is part of ongoing efforts to improve the residents’ quality of life while further strengthening relationships within the community.

Throughout his term, Councilman Andrews has been a strong supporter of neighborhood cleanup as a way to bring together citizens and organizations to transform the 6th District area of Long Beach and beautify neighborhoods one block at a time. Andrews encourages neighbors to get involved by volunteering or scheduling a clean up on their street.

Volunteers are needed and community service hours are being offered. For more information call the Office of Councilman Dee Andrews at (562) 570-6816.
