2010-03-26 · By Editor
Get ready to dance and sing, get up and do your thing. The Bixby Knolls BIA hosts 80s Night at the Petroleum Club, an all ages event to bring the community together for a fun night of music, dancing, food, big hair, shoulder pads, neon, leg warmers, parachute pants and Members Only jackets in a revival of everything ’80s.
Book your dinner reservation in the Red Room starting at 6 p.m. and then plan to dance to all the best music of the ’80s until midnight. DJ Neon Hunter will be playing all the best (and the cheesiest) new wave and dance tracks from the 1980s.
Admission is a $5 donation, which goes to pay for the Big Red Bus at BKBIA’s First Fridays event. Bixby Knolls 80s Night is Friday, March 26, from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Long Beach Petroleum Club, 3636 Linden Avenue.
There will contests for “Bartender Flair” and “Best 80s attire.” So, grab your add-a-bead necklaces, acid washed jeans, ankle socks, Guess Jeans, layered socks, oversized shirts, Wayfarer sunglasses, Swatch watches, Jelly Shoes, knit square end ties, friendship pins, Reebok hightops, Princess Di fashions, paint splatter fashion, stirrup pants, and jumpsuits and head back-to-the-future in Bixby Knolls.
