Bye-Bye Bah Humbug! Comes see A Christmas Carol

christmas-carolLet the Long Beach Shakespeare Company banish the “Bah Humbug!” from your holiday season with their new production of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol.

This engrossing tale relates Ebenezer Scrooge’s ghostly journeys through Christmases past, present, and future and his ultimate transformation from a harsh and grasping old miser to a charitable and compassionate human being. A perennial classic that has become as much a part of the holiday season as holly, mistletoe, and evergreen wreaths.

Co-Artistic Director Denis McCourt directs the LBSC adaptation of this classic holiday tale featuring Simon James (Royal Shakespeare Company), David Fox-Brenton (Stratford Shakespeare Festival) and Linda Slade (Royal Shakespeare Company). The production will even include festive carolers, fiddlers and a local cast of children.

A Christmas Carol takes the stage December 5-20 at the Expo Building, 4321 Atlantic Avenue, in Bixby Knolls. Show times are Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and 8pm. Tickets are available online at www.lbshakespeare.org and are $20 per person or $10 for students with a valid ID.
