Acorn Festival and Tellebration at El Dorado Nature Center

Looking for a bit of nature in the middle of the city? El Dorado Nature Center is an oasis of natural habitat, offering visitors the chance to escape the hustle and bustle. Nature lovers are invited to welcome the fall season along with all the wonders and colors it brings at two events at the nature center this month.
Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Revel in the bounty and beauty of California’s native oaks and learn about the acorn’s many uses. Join the nature Center staff for activities, crafts and family fun outdoors. Activities begin at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required for all activities. Call (562) 570-1749 to register.
On Saturday, November 21, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Nature Center will host the annual Long Beach Storytellers for “Tellebration,” an evening of story sharing. Adults and Children over 10 years are invited to join in and celebrate the power and wisdom of storytelling. Make your reservations for this worldwide celebration of stories by calling (562) 570-1745. $5 donation accepted.
A 100 acre oasis — the El Dorado Nature Center offers beautiful trails, adult and youth education and a variety of programs and enrichment courses.
