Wines, Gourmet Food, and Fabulous Tunes in Store at Anne Walsh’s CD Release Concert October 19th
2011-10-17 · By Editor
On October 19th from 7 to 9:30pm Long Beach based contemporary jazz artist Anne Walsh will debut her latest CD “Go,” featuring new songs ranging from Sergio Mendez, Rogers and Hart and Cole Porter covers, funky grooves, and cool originals, at Spaghettini Grill and Jazz Club.
Anne Walsh’s new album “Go,” which was released on September 27th, transports listeners through the kaleidoscopic soundscapes of poppy Brazilian jazz, silky ballads, French vibes, Bossa Nova and zippy beats. The seemingly capricious rhythms carry listeners on a musical odyssey that acts as a sort of quest to place a balance between musical innovation and purity.
The album’s inherent interest and integrity is further upheld by those contributing their talents, an accomplished group of musicians that have played with Mendes, including electric bassist Jerry Watts, percussionist Tiki Pasillas, and saxophonist-flautist Gary Meek, in addition to acoustic bassist Brian Bromberg.
This will be an evening of select wines and cocktails, gourmet food, and fabulous tunes. For $10 per person you can make a reservation to assure premium seating where the sounds and sights are best.
