Aquarium’s Sea Fare sets sail on a culinary journey for ocean conservation

Set sail on a culinary journey while lending a helping “fin” to ocean conservation at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s 6th annual Sea Fare event on Saturday, October 17.
The Aquarium of the Pacific is dedicated to instilling a sense of wonder, respect, and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and ecosystems. Party goers will be inspired when they have the rare opportunity to explore the ambiance of the Aquarium at night while savoring wines and specialty beers along with sumptuous food created by local chefs. Entertainment will include live music and live and silent auction opportunities.
Each year, Sea Fare features diverse dishes and this year is no exception. More than 20 local restaurants will participate including: Bubba Gump Shrimp Co; Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria; California Pizza Kitchen; Delius Restaurant; Extreme Pizza; Gladstone’s Long Beach; Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks; Kavikas; King’s Fish House; Mai Tai Bar; Manhattan Steak & Seafood; McKenna’s on the Bay; Moondance Catering; Parkers’ Lighthouse; The Queen Mary; Roosmoor Pastries; SAVOR…, Shark Trust Wines; Stone Brewery; Super Mex; The Auld Dubliner; The Renaissance Long Beach Hotel; Wokano; etc.
In addition to fine food, Sea Fare will treat diners to an open bar, fine wine, specialty brews, and desserts.
The Annual Sea Fare is a fundraiser for the Aquarium but that doesn’t mean guests will leave empty handed. Guest are invited to get into the spirit of the live and silent auctions by bidding on an eclectic varitety of unique items and experiences such as fabulous trips throughout the world from New York to the Galapagos, sports tickets to the best teams in Los Angeles, a 2009 Honda Metropolitan Motor Scooter, concert and theater tickets, zoo and museum memberships, rounds of golf on beautiful Southland courses such as Trump National, restaurant gift certificates, and more. All auction items are 100 percent donated and all proceeds benefit the nonprofit Aquarium’s education and conservation programs.
The Sea Fare event will take place Saturday, October 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way in Long Beach. Tickets cost $100 per person (includes an open bar and tastes from local restaurants)
