long-beach-choraleThe Long Beach Chorale, called “our best local chorus” by the Long Beach Gazette, seeks new singers in all parts for their 21st season!

Under the direction of Eliza Rubenstein, the 45-voice Chorale performs works from a wide variety of styles and eras. The 2009-10 season will include a full-scale performance of Brahms’s German Requiem.

Founded in 1988 by Mark Barville, the Long Beach Chorale & Chamber Orchestra has earned its reputation as Long Beach’s leading amateur choral ensemble through its energetic performances of a wide variety of repertoire. The Chorale has been equally at home singing the classics of Western music and the musical gems of cultures around the world.

All interested men and women are encouraged to audition! Choral experience is preferred and the ability to read music is required; auditions are brief and informal.

The Long Beach Chorale rehearses on Monday evenings in Belmont Shore.
