Arrests Made, Charges Filed in 2009 Double Murder Investigation

On March 1, 2009, a fight broke out in front of a flower shop in the 2000 block of Del Amo Boulevard resulting in the shooting and murder of Austin Seng and Chamreun Kong of Long Beach.
In November of 2010, Christopher Ellis, a 25 year-old resident of long beach, was arrested and charged in connection with the murder. Further investigation led detectives to the arrest of three other individuals believed to be responsible for the deaths of Austin and Chamreun.
On March 4, 2014, detectives arrested Irineo Cabrera, a 27 year-old resident of Bellflower, while serving a search warrant at his residence. Detectives also connected Chase Strike, a 20 year-old resident of Long Beach, and Robert Ramirez, a 24 year-old resident of Long Beach, to the murders. Both Strike and Ramirez were being held in-custody on previous unrelated charges.
On March 5, 2014, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed 1st degree murder charges with gang enhancements on all four individuals. All four are being held at Los Angeles County Jail with no-bail.
