The Board of Directors of Long Beach’s newest non-profit organization, Artful Thinking Organization (ATO), a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer or HIV, are planning their premier event titled Out at the movies, a monthly LGBT film screening event.
The evening fun, scheduled for Thursday, March 25 from 8:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., will take place at the newly-restored Art Theatre at 2025 East Fourth Street in Long Beach.
Admission to the event is $10 per person and includes admission to Misconceptions and live entertainment.
According to Here! Films, Misconceptions is a new release that focuses on a religiously conservative, married southern woman who receives a message from God instructing her to act as a surrogate mother for a married gay couple. All hell breaks loose when one of the Dad’s shows up unexpectedly to micro manages her pregnancy, and refuses to leave. It’s a hilarious look into the lives of three people that will be hooked together forever by one very small thing.
ATO is proud to partner with Here! Films and the Art Theatre on this exciting premier movie night while raising funds and awareness for HIV and breast cancer.
The kickoff event for Out at the Movies will feature live entertainment beforehand as well as full availability of theatre concessions for purchase including beer, wine and champagne for those over 21 years of age.
