ArtGallery73 to Host First U.S. Show For Artist Angelika Toth
2015-03-11 · By Editor
ArtGallery73 is proud to present Angelika Toth’s first U.S. Show in California, on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Saylin Studio. Angelika is a renowned contemporary painter from Hungary, whose work has been exhibited in New York, Germany, China and her home town, Budapest.
“Both cyclicity and timelessness are ever-present in my paintings,” said Angelika Toth. “I am constantly preoccupied with the cyclic view of time, just as much as with the differences between the eastern and western way of thinking; consequently, these thoughts are woven into the texture of my works. There is a tense contrast in the overlapping field of spirituality and natural sciences. Religions, even in our days, may play a very significant role in forming ethical cornerstones in one’s mind. The atmospheres, the auras the scenes of certain ages of modern history that I rely on in my paintings and that call emotions into one’s mind are obvious references to our age, and I attempt to invoke these time periods without a grain of nostalgia.”
The Angelika Toth show is Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1pm-4pm at Saylin Studio, 711 Pine Ave.
