64th District Assemblymember Isadore Hall Featured Speaker at North Long Beach Community Action Group Monthly Meeting

The North Long Beach Community Action Group will feature 64th Assembly District Assemblymember Isadore Hall as guest speaker at it’s monthly meeting Sunday, August 04, 2013. The meeting will take place at The Houghton American Legion Hall 1219 59th Street, Long Beach, CA. 90805, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
Assemblyman Isadore is in his final term of office and is completing several projects in our area. This is his first meeting with the Community Action Group.
During his term of office he’s has impacted Healthy Families with his focus on seniors and childhood diabetes. This is our monthly meeting that is free to the public with no membership dues. The North Long Beach Community Action Group and History Project Team is the recipient of the Neighborhoods USA 2008-2009 National Grand Prize. The Community Action Group and History Project received national recognition as the first neighborhood group in Long Beach to win the 2008 Neighborhood of the Year and also won first place in Social Activism. We are a 501©3 focused on advocacy, education and neighborhood improvement. The North Long Beach Community Action Group (NLBCAG or CAG) was formed in 1994 by concerned community members in response to civil unrest in the early 1990’s.
The purpose of CAG is to improve our neighborhoods using the following strategies:
Maintain or improve property values;
Improve the appearance of our area through beautification;
Unify residents, advocate community causes, unify groups and business owners; and Plan for the future.
