Author Deborah Magnus, “Creating an Effective Book Business Plan” Presented by The California Writers Club of Long Beach

cal-writers-clubThe California Writers Club of Long Beach will host a presentation by author Deborah Magnus, “Creating an Effective Book Business Plan: 25 Words from Query to Press Release,” Saturday, 26 February 2011, at the Los Altos Branch of the Long Beach Public Library. Published and aspiring writers of all genres are welcome to attend. Please note that February’s meeting has been moved to the fourth Saturday of the month from its usual schedule of the third Saturday, because of library holidays.

Deborah Magnus, owner of Paradigm Warriors, teaches online workshops for WOW (Women on Writing) and SavvyAuthors.com. She currently has a work of fiction being released in March of 2011, and she has had three publishers request a proposal for her book in development, The Author Success Coach: Strategies for Author Success in a Turbulent Publishing Landscape. “There’s not an author or aspiring author today who isn’t affected by the shifting publishing world and the fact that publishers, large and small, no longer handle marketing, promotions or publicity,” Magnus says.

The free monthly meetings of the California Writers Club of Long Beach are held at the Los Altos Branch Library from 3 to 5 pm on the third Saturday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
