The Long Beach Area Coalition for the Homeless will have their regular monthly meeting Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 8:30am at Goodwill Industries, 800 West Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA 90806. Parking is on the street or around the block.
Gloria Cordero, Community Outreach Consultant for Plenary-Edgemoor Civic Partners, will lead a presentation and discussion on the extensive community outreach they doing to engage in meaningful dialogue with residents and stakeholders about the design of the new Civic Center in downtown Long Beach. It is a step toward an open and affirmative city-wide conversation on how (and if) homelessness and the new Civic Center might blend together.
Allison Kripp, from Friends of Lincoln Park, will update LBACH about the activities they have been having and activities planned for the future in Lincoln Park. Friends of Lincoln Park is a volunteer group comprised of individuals and organizations dedicated to improving and activating Long Beach’s oldest park.
The presentations and discussions will be very informative. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly about these important issues and efforts and to provide comments and input. A lively discussion is anticipated.
LBACH meetings are the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30am at Goodwill Industries, 800 West Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA 90806. All are welcome to attend the meetings.
