BauhausU Presents “Beats, Curves, and Movement” a Multimedia Art Show by Josh Blue Eagle Cardinali
2013-03-20 · By Editor
A contemporary stencil-art show featuring graphic artist/guitarist/composer/producer/video editor Josh Blue Eagle Cardinali (aka JBEC) will make its debut at BauhausU on Saturday March 30th 2013.
Along with his art exhibition highlighting the beauty of women, there will be a live acoustic set by two of Josh’s SoCal bands: Rian Basilio and the Roosters and Doug Means Project. Additional entertainment includes a DJ set featuring Josh’s eclectic, self-produced mix of musical styles, plus live art models emulating the various stencils on display, as well as an artist workshop.
Josh’s Long Beach-based company, Stoney Eye Studios, creates custom stencil artwork, digital videos, and graphic design. His stencil artwork recently caught the eye of legendary guitar innovator Grover Jackson who commissioned Josh to paint an exclusive limited series of GJ2 Guitars featuring his stencil work. One of the limited edition guitars will be on display at the March 30th “Beats, Curves, & Movement” show.
The Josh Blue Eagle Cardinali art show is Saturday March 30th 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at BauhausU 1950 E. 4th Street in Long Beach, CA in the heart of the Art District. There is no cover charge for this all-ages event.
About Josh Cardinali
Josh Blue Eagle Cardinali is an accomplished and versatile musician specializing in reggae, dub, dancehall, dubstep, metal, and rootcore. He’s performed, recorded, and toured with artists such as The Scientist, HR of Bad Brains, Mikey Dread, and Haile Maskel and is currently a member of influential Southern California-based acts Rian Basilio & The Roosters, and Doug Means Project. A California native, Josh is an ASCAP-published songwriter with music placed in television shows including MTV and Burn Notice.
Josh grew up in the mountains of Ojai, raised by his blues musician father & professional artist mother. Following in his dad’s footsteps, Josh was strumming guitar by age 3. Mom’s genes are fighting for attention now, as Josh has lately been noticed as a talented stencil artist and painter.
Between songwriting and recording projects, Josh is testing the limits of what can be done with paint and stencil graphics, as can be seen on his Stoney Eye Studios website and recent work for GJ2 Guitars made by Grover Jackson.
