Beach Volleyball Tournament continues today at Marina Green Park

The California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) is hosting amateur tournaments this weekend, July 11-12. The second day of tournaments takes place today at Marina Green Park
A Charter Communications Long Beach Sea Festival event, the tournaments are open to male and female adults and juniors. Players must be CBVA members to compete and must have been pre-registered by 6 p.m. Fri., July 10, with internet registration ONLY at www.cbva.com.
Individual entry fees are $21.25 and all players must check in by 9 a.m. (women) and 9:30 a.m. (men) Sat., July 11. The tournaments are one-day, pool play format events, with Men’s and Women’s A and Men’s Unrated on Saturday and Men’s and Women’s AA on Sunday. Prize donors include: Power Bar, Aloha Ball Club Beach Volleyball Academy, Scott Sandals, Volleyhut.com, The Shack Restaurant, Spalding and the CBVA.
The California Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA) is a nonprofit California Corporation which has nurtured, sponsored and promoted beach volleyball since 1965. The CBVA is celebrating its 4th decade of developing and promoting the beach volleyball at the grassroots level. The CBVA is responsible for the scheduling, rule-making and promoting of amateur outdoor volleyball in California.

The beach volleyball tournament is part of the Long Beach Sea Festival. The Sea Festival continues through Sept. 13 with nearly 100 events that include Moonlight Movies on the Beach, Concerts in the Park.
