Belmont Heights Community Association to discuss improving commercial corridors

Belmont Heights neighborhood meetingThe Belmont Heights Community Association will have it’s monthly meeting tonight January 13, at 7 p.m. at Belmont Heights United Methodist Church, 317 Termino Avenue at Third Street.

The guest speaker will be Steve Gerhardt from the planning department. He will provide residents with an update on the Long Beach 2030 Plan and explain how it may affect Belmont Heights.

Attendees will also discuss how to improve the Belmont Heights commercial corridors — Broadway, Fourth Street and Redondo Avenue. Additional agenda items include board nominations, the Colorado Lagoon, the “Bike Boulevard” on Vista Street and efforts to address motorcycle noise and traffic, and a membership drive.

Residents with concerns or ideas about Belmont Heights are welcome to address them at the meeting.

The Belmont Heights Community Association is a group of residents who volunteer their time and energy to improve the quality of life in their Long Beach neighborhood. Belmont Heights’ borders are Ocean Boulevard (and Livingston Drive) to the south, Redondo Avenue on the west, 7th Street to the North, and Nieto Avenue to the east.
