California Writers Club of Long Beach to Host Lecture on “Writing For Children”

cal-writers-clubThe California Writers Club of Long Beach will host a free lecture on “Writing For Children” on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Los Altos Library.

Shirley Jordan, a retired elementary school teacher and principal, has twenty-two middle-grade children’s books in print including America’s Greatest Natural Disasters, The Civil War, Moments in History, Pirates and Privateers, and many more.

Join this prolific writer, Saturday June 18, 2011, as she distills her “Writing for Children” five-week course into an hour and a half for the California Writers Club of Long Beach at their monthly meeting.  The event at the Los Altos Library, 5614 Britton Street, Long Beach, CA 90815 begins at 3pm.

The free monthly meetings of the California Writers Club of Long Beach are held at the Los Altos Branch Library from 3 to 5 pm on the third Saturday of each month. The Los Altos Branch library is located at 5614 Britton Street Long Beach, CA 90815. Meetings are open to the public.
