Certified Nurse Assistant and Certified Home Health Aide Training Program for Youth Age 18 – 21

Goodwill Serving The People of Southern Los Angeles County in partnership with Long Beach Unified School District, Regional Occupational Program (R.O.P.) provides Health Care Training Programs. The program provides classroom and on-the-job training preparing students to qualify to take the State of California Nursing Assistant/ Home Health Aide examination or other healthcare related exams.
Mentoring assistance is available throughout the duration of the program. Employment placement services are provided after graduation with additional retention services including career ladder opportunities for up to five (5) years. There will be a $50.00 entrance fee.
Eligibility requirements are: Low-income/No Income, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (T.A.N.F.), and between the ages of 18 and 21. Also, applicants must pass reading & math T.A.B.E. assessment at 9th grade levels and complete/pass a nurse entrance interview.
