Charges Filed in Home Invasion Case; Additional Suspect Arrested

On Friday, July 25, 2014, Long Beach Police Homicide detectives presented its case involving a residential robbery that occurred in the area of Terry Lynn Place and Country Club Drive on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
The DA’s office filed (1) count each of the following charges against Defendant Gus Adams:
- Residential robbery
- Residential burglary
- Grand theft of a firearm
- Felon in possession of a firearm
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a third suspect was involved in the residential robbery. That individual was arrested last night and booked for robbery. She has been identified as 49-year-old Ruby Adams of Long Beach, and mother to Gus Adams. It is anticipated that charges will also be filed against Ruby Adams today, Monday, July 28, 2014.
The case pertaining to the homeowner is under review by the District Attorney’s office. During the review process, it is not uncommon for the DA’s office to request additional investigative follow-up.
Additionally, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s investigation determined that Andrea Miller was not pregnant.
