2009-06-03 · By Editor
Enrollments starts this week for the 2nd Annual Summer Chess Camp at Elise’s Tea Room in Bixby Knolls, presented by Project Oasis.
Help keep your child in mental shape this summer while having fun. Whether your child is a new-comer to the game or an experienced hand, playing chess is a fun way to stay mentally sharp, make friends and learn a game that can stay with them through the rest of their life.
Project Oasis founders Keith Lewis and Peter Dopulos teach the game, tactics and strategy, while putting special emphasis on sportsmanship.
There will be two sessions for Chess Camp this summer.
- First Session— June 23 – July 9
- Second Session— July 14 – August 30
Chess Camp takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost $40 per session, or $16 per week. Price includes refreshment each day. All necessary equipment, (chess boards, pieces, etc.), will be provided.
To pay online or for more information go to Summer Chess Camp or call Peter Dopulos at (562) 761-7797.
