Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride is proud to announce that Chiquis Rivera will be participating in the 2015 Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade on May 17, 2015.
Chiquis Rivera was one of the Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade Grand Marshals honored on Friday night at Mayor Robert Garcia’s Pride Reception. She will be participating in next Sunday’s 32nd Annual Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade. “I am thrilled to be apart of one of the world’s largest gay parades. There are so many individuals and communities that still face widespread discrimination, as well as human rights violations based on their sexual orientation and gender identity”, said Ms. Rivera. “Being in this parade is my way of breaking down barriers and standing up for all my friends. The support I receive from the LGBTQ community is so appreciated and I love that fact that I can give back”, continued Ms. Rivera.
Chiquis Rivera is an artist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and well-known figure in the Hispanic community. She’s captivated audiences with reality TV shows like “I Love Jenni”, among others, and graced covers of important magazines such as Latina Magazine and People En Español. Her vivacious personality has garnered millions of followers. Chiquis is a true supporter of the gay community and has participated at many events, as well as festivals, as a special guest continuing her support. She recently finished filming her web series, “Chiquis Confidential 2”, and is presently working on her first music album which will be released in June 2015. On July 2nd, Chiquis will sing live, for the first time, at the Jenni Vive 2015 concert which will take place in Long Beach, CA.
The annual Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, May 17th, with step off at 10:30 am on the scenic Ocean Blvd at Lindero Avenue.
