They dance, they backflip and they soar as high as 12 feet in the air, and for two shows at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, dogs from Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience will return to the Carpenter Performing Arts Center at Cal State Long Beach.

All the canine athletes have been adopted from pounds and shelters across the country.

Husband-and-wife team Chris and Suhey Perondi have toured their shelter-rescued dogs across the country, performing in over 3,500 shows across the United States. The talented pups have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show. They’ve also performed in the Rose Parade and on Monday Night Football.

“You’ll see their tails wagging,” Perondi said. “They’re having a great time. They’re always there to lift you up when you’re down.”

Stunts in the show include flying-disc tossing and juggling, a dog obstacle course, a high-jump challenge and a lot more.

Stunt Dog Productions is a family-owned business led by husband and wife team Chris and Suhey Perondi, with their son Anthony. Their dogs have been rescued from pounds and shelters from across the country. The company’s mission is to promote pet adoption, responsible pet ownership and to educate on the importance of spaying and neutering. During every show, time is taken to share this mission and to encourage everyone to spend more time with their pets at home.

All the dogs in the shows are trained using positive training methods with the use of a clicker and toy motivation. They each have unique talents and signature moves to showcase. The Perondis work with each dog’s individual ability, athleticism and intelligence, then place them in show segments that they excel in the most. The dogs enjoy performing because they are doing what they love.

The show has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated, FOX News, NBC, Univision and National Geographic.

Single tickets for the stunt dog show start at $20. For tickets and more information, visit or call the Carpenter Center Ticket Office at (562) 985-7000. This series is made possible in part by Season Media Partner KPCC 89.3-FM.
