Citizens Invited to Attend a Free Workshop to Learn About LB Boards and Commissions

Do you have ideas about how to make your community a better place to work, live and play?
The Office of the Mayor and Neighborhood Resource Center, invite you to learn about the City of Long Beach Boards and Commissions. On Monday, August 30, 2010 Carmen Viramontes, Legislative Deputy, Office of the Mayor, and Heather Mahood, Assistant City Attorney will present a FREE workshop at the Neighborhood Resource Center. Citizens will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the City of Long Beach boards and commissions
- Learn about current commission vacancies
- Learn how you can apply
The Boards and Commissions workshop is Monday, August 30, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood Resource Center 425 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach, 90802. This FREE Workshop is presented in English with Spanish and Khmer translation available.

Parking is available in the rear of the building and on the street.
Boards and Commissions workshop participants are invited to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist our Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.
