“We are pleased to announce the receipt of an anonymous gift of $300,000 toward our $1.25 million Emergency Department Challenge Campaign,” says Alan Anderson, board chair of the Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation (CHLBF).

“We were at the half-way point of our Emergency Department Challenge Campaign to raise $500,000 and receive a matching gift of the same amount from the Llewellyn Bixby IV Endowment Fund – $500,000,” continues Anderson.  “With this anonymous gift, we are receiving that match, and need to raise another $100,000 to reach our overall goal of $1.25 million!”

The four-phase upgrade, with two phases completed, will resume in November with refurbishment of the 21-patient bays, followed in early 2016 with a new patient monitoring system, as well as state-of-the-art examination and diagnostic equipment.

The CHLB Foundation thanks all who have given to help CHLB insure that high quality emergency health care services continue to be available in our community. The CHLB Foundation’s intention is to complete the overall fundraising goal of $1.25 million on or before December 31, 2015.
