In its on-going commitment to making Long Beach a safe place to live, work and play, the City of Long Beach is developing a comprehensive Long Beach Violence Prevention Plan. The City is hosting a series of community forums inviting the public to learn about the planning process and how to get involved. The community is invited to attend the second of these forums on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Silverado Park, 1545 W. 31st St. A free community BBQ will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by the Community meeting from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Translation services will be provided, and child care will be available for children ages 5 to 12.
Two additional community forums are being scheduled on Saturday, June 1, and Thursday, June 20. Meeting details, including locations, will be available online at www.lbvpp.com by the end of April.
