Community Market coming to Belmont Heights
2010-03-19 · By Editor
In this troubled economy reaching out and supporting each other can be invaluable. Belmont Heights has many talented people and many great small businesses that could benefit from getting to know each other. In the spirit of this, Fremont Elementary School is hosting its first Community Market.
The Community Market is a great way to bring exposure to local businesses and earn support for the school at the same time. Proceeds from the market will go to support Fremont’s Science and Computer Labs.
The morning will begin with a Cub Scouts Pancake Breakfast. The Market will also include a tomato plant sale, e-waste disposal, a used book sale as well as representation from the Belmont Heights Community Association.
Organizers are working with local artisans and Farmers Market vendors to build a full-featured event for the community. And, they are looking for more.
Anyone that is interested in becoming a vendor, should contact the Community Market organizers by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. All vendors must supply their own tables and cash box. Space rentals are $30.
The first Community Market in Belmont Heights will take place Saturday, April 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fremont Elementary School 4000 East Fourth Street, Long Beach.
