Councilman Dee Andrews Hosts Document Shredding and Recycling Event July 21st

Document Shredding and Recycling EventSixth District Councilman Dee Andrews will be hosting a Document Shredding and Recycling Event on Saturday, July 21, 2012 between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at King Park, 1950 Lemon Avenue, Long Beach, CA.

“I am happy to bring this event to our community once again. This is a fast, easy and safe way of getting rid of items you no longer need. It is so nice of Future Shredding and e-Recycling of California to come out and dispose of these items for free. All you have to do is drive up, hand the boxes to the attendants and leave.” said Councilman Dee Andrews.

All types items can be shredded accept X-rays and CD’s. Items that can be recycled are televisions, computer monitors, computers (CPU’s), laptops, keyboards, printers, computer mice, hard drives, fax machines, microwave ovens, DVD players, VCR’s, cables and cords, telephones, cell phones, radios, shredders, stereo components, power supplies, tape and zip drives, and electronic devices.

The first 5 boxes of shredding documents, per car, are free, anything beyond will cost a fee of $5.00 per box.

The companies cannot accept: large appliances, toner cartridges, fluorescent bulbs or batteries of any kind.
