Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, and several volunteers, will join Miss Alice Robinson at the 13th Anniversary of the Friends of Alice Robinson Feeding Program on August 3rd, 2016 at 12:00pm at Martin Luther King Jr Park, 1950 Lemon Ave, Long Beach, CA.

For the past twelve years, every first Wednesday of the month, Miss. Robinson holds a community feeding using money from her Social Security check to buy the supplies to provide meals. With Councilman Andrews’ support she has held this program open to the public in a co-sponsored agreement that waives facility fees for the program to take place. “Miss Alice is a kind-hearted woman. Her willingness to help others in the Sixth District community is remarkable.” said Councilman Andrews.

Miss. Robinson’s volunteers regard her as a very kind and persevering individual. She always puts others before herself and her generosity can be seen from serving over 10,000 meals to others throughout the years. She is determined to keeping cooking for those in need for as long as she can. “My mother inspired me at a very young age, all I can do is follow her steps and feed others” said Ms. Robinson.
