Councilman Dee Andrews to host a 6th District Neighborhood Cleanup

neighborhood-clean-up district 6 dee andrewsSixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, in partnership with the Neighborhood Services and community resident Rachel Ysasaga will host the 6th District Neighborhood Clean Up. The event will take place on Saturday, October 23rd.

Volunteers will be taking to the streets Saturday, October 23rd and picking up garbage throughout neighborhoods in the 6th District. “I encourage my neighbors to join me to make a positive change in our community”, said Councilman Andrews. “Keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe is a joint effort. We can not do it alone”, continued Andrews.

The neighborhood clean up will cover the 2300 block of Olive and the alleys in between. Some of the services being offered during the clean up include:

Large dumpsters for disposal of all non-hazardous waste

Tools, rakes, brooms, shovels, gloves, trash bags, and mask provided

In an effort to beautify neighborhoods one block at a time, Councilman Andrews encourages neighbors to get involved by volunteering or scheduling a clean up on their street. Get started by making a difference in your community today.

The Neighborhood Clean Up event will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at 2303 Olive Ave, Long Beach, 90806.
