Councilman Dee Andrews Invites Sixth District Residents to “Meet the New Chief”

Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews to host a Sixth District Town Hall Meeting and the topic is  “Meet the New Chief”, on Tuesday, April 27th, at Veterans Park, Community Center, 101 East 28th Street.  The event will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Jim McDonnell, has been selected as the 25th Chief of the Long Beach Police Department.  For most of the decade, he has served as one of former Chief William J. Bratton’s top assistants in the Los Angeles Police Department.  “We are fortunate that our City has an excellent law enforcement department and its leadership is very important to us. I hope that you can join me as we get to know our new Police Chief and see his vision for keeping crime down in Long Beach”, said Councilman Dee Andrews.
