Councilmember Garcia, Guest Speaker at Next Chamber Business Networking Lunch

The next monthly Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Good Afternoon Long Beach Business Networking Lunch is Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Buster’s Beach House. 1st District Councilmember Robert Garcia is the Guest Speaker for the event.
Dr. Robert Garcia, EdD. is the Councilmember for the First District, and is the youngest elected City Councilmember.
Robert is an administrator at Long Beach City College and has taught Communication Studies at both CSULB and Long Beach City College as part-time faculty.
Robert has a Doctorate in Higher Education, a Masters Degree in Communication Management from USC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from CSULB.
Robert is a co-founder of the LBPOST.com and with his neighbors, founded the North Pine Neighborhood Alliance (NPNA) where he has worked with downtown business leaders to attract quality retail outlets and has been a strong advocate for new parks and restoring our beaches. Robert has been a residential advisor to the Downtown Long Beach Business Associates (DLBA) and is an active board member of Children Today, a Long Beach non-profit. He is a graduate of Leadership Long Beach and a member of Surfrider and the Sierra Club.
The Chamber business networking lunch is Tuesday, October 5, 2010, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at Buster’s Beach House 168 Marina Drive, Long Beach, 90803.
The event is open to everyone. The cost is $25 for non‐members and $15 for members. RSVP is required. Payment at the door is accepted.
