October marks the grand opening of the resurfaced Ramona Park basketball and tennis courts. Previously, residents dealt with courts that were riddled with cracks, receding paint, and old rims. With the help of the Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation, and Marine, the courts are now fitted with new rims and nets, fresh paint and a smooth surface.
Residents can enjoy a variety of activities such as a co-ed, youth and teen 3-on-3 tournament for ages 9-16, and a hot shot competition for ages 5-8. Halloween activities and carnival games will be available as well. The event features a special City staff versus Council Office 5-on-5 game.
The the Grand Opening of the Ramona Park Basketball Courts is Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Ramona Park 3301 E. 65th Street, Long Beach, Ca.
