Paramount Petroleum Public ArtOn Tuesday, December 28, 2010 the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA), along with Councilmember Steven Neal, 9th District, invite the public to come celebrate the dedication of new Public Art and Façade Improvements at Paramount Petroleum, 2400 Artesia Blvd. The celebration will begin at 10:00 am near the southwest intersection of Artesia and Paramount boulevards.

The Paramount Petroleum project includes a large mosaic featuring petroleum workers titled “Paramount,” new hardscape and landscape, American Disability Act-compliant sidewalks, fencing, stone pilasters, a tubular steel electronic gate, and a ten-foot enhanced block wall with matching concrete caps. Funding for the project was provided by the RDA and Paramount Petroleum.

“The improvements made at the Paramount Petroleum site create a corner that honors Long Beach’s petroleum workers while making the area more accessible to pedestrians. By participating in the RDA’s Commercial Façade Improvement Program, the Paramount Petroleum Corporation is demonstrating its commitment to being a good neighbor to the community,” said Councilmember Neal.
