Councilwoman Schipske to Host Telephonic Conference Call

Continuing her advocacy for open and transparent government, Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske announced Monday that she is holding the first telephonic conference call that will enable voters to ask her questions directly about her campaign for Mayor.
“There have been many community forums during this campaign, but some voters complain that they were not able to get their questions answered in the limited format most forums offered,” says Schipske, who is a leading candidate for Mayor. “I want to offer voters the opportunity to call me directly and ask their questions.”
The Schipske for Mayor issue forum will be held: Thursday, March 13th from 7 pm until 8 pm. Callers need to dial: 1-857-232-0157 and use the code: 940764. Callers will be able to ask a question during the one hour by pressing 5* on their phone once they call into the conference.
“I look forward to a civil dialogue about the issues,” says Schipske, who promises that she will do a monthly conference call with residents as Mayor of Long Beach.
Gerrie Schipske represents the 5th Council district and was honored last summer by The White House as one of seven “Champions of Change for Open Government.”
