Councilwoman Suzie Price to Host Live Safely Community Fair

Councilwoman Suzie Price is hosting a “Live Safely” event, where residents can garner firsthand knowledge from industry professionals on a variety of safety topics. Speakers will share their expertise, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about how to keep themselves and their families safe from property related crimes and identity theft.

The complimentary event will be hosted on Saturday, July 11th at the Recreation Park Community Center (4900 East 7th St.). The event will begin with opening remarks from Councilwoman Price and will include a variety of speakers covering several safety topics. Topics include crime trends, identity and fraud protection, Internet banking safety, and car seat safety, as well as how to choose quality door locks, and DIY security cameras.

“It’s important that people learn what they can do to better safeguard themselves,” said Councilwoman Price, in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to hear from industry experts on the most effective crime fighting tips.”

Lunch will be served, courtesy of the Long Beach Police Officers Association and Councilwoman Price. Additionally various information booths will be onsite as a resource for residents.

Live Safely will take place Saturday, July 11th from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Recreation Park Community Center (4900 East 7th St.).
