Don’t miss the highly acclaimed U.S. Naval Academy Gospel Choir in concert, under the direction of Ms. Karla Scott. An upbeat, inspirational musical ensemble comprised of 50+ midshipmen, this fine vocal group has performed in major cities all across America, including Washington, D.C. at President Obama’s Inaugural Concert on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for a live audience of over half a million people and an international televised audience. The Choir brings a message of motivation and exhortation through its stirring and powerful vocal harmonies and arrangements.

A wonderful part of the Naval Academy family, the Gospel Choir provides the public an opportunity to witness the diversity and abilities of today’s Brigade of Midshipmen. It is with honor, pride and the distinction of representing the United States, the United States Navy and Marine Corps, and the Naval Academy, that the Gospel Choir comes to Long Beach to share its extraordinary talents.

This free performance takes place Sunday, March 15 at 4 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 607 E. 3rd Street, Long Beach. Plan to stay after the concert for a scrumptious all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner for a donation of $15 per person! Mark your calendar now for a lovely evening of fantastic music, great food and fun! Spread the word and bring all your family members and friends!

Dinner is hosted by Rising TIDE at Marguerite Kiefer Education Center (MKEC), a successful year-round after school program and a 501(c)(3) organization. Your dinner donation supports MKEC and helps provide academic support, mentoring, cultural enrichment, arts, sports, recreation and nutrition for over 400 inner city youth in downtown Long Beach.
