taste-of-downtownThe Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) is kicking off the 2013 Taste of Downtown series on March 6 and 7 in the East Village Arts District. The event, which celebrates the restaurants, musicians, and neighborhoods that make Downtown Long Beach unique, will take place on 1st Street between Linden and Elm Avenue and feature sample sized portions of local restaurants’ signature dishes and live music performed by Moonsville Collective.

“Taste of Downtown is foodie heaven,” shared Michelle Manire, Chairperson of DLBA’s Marketing and Special Events Task Force. “The community will get the chance to sample high-end gourmet dishes, satisfying comfort foods, and more, all while enjoying the sights and sounds of the East Village.”

In addition to food booths and live music, the event will feature live art classes by Brushstrokes and Beverages and cater to the eco-conscious with a Bike Valet provided by the East Village Association.

“This event encapsulates the spirit of the East Village,” added Manire. “Art, music, and great food can always be found in this emerging neighborhood, and guests will get to experience it all in one place at Taste of Downtown.”

Guests can purchase discounted presale tasting tickets online for $10 for 12 tickets, $20 for 24 tickets, or $30 for 36 tickets until March 6 or pay $1 per ticket at the door.
