Detectives Seek Additional Info in Possible Gang Related Homicide

On May 3, 2016, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officer were dispatched to the 3300 block of E. 65th Street regarding a hit shooting that just occurred.

Upon arrival officers found a male juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The Long Beach Fire Department responded and determined the victim deceased at the scene

Homicide detectives responded and during their investigation it was found the victim may have been involved in a physical altercation with the suspect/s. These suspect/s ended up leaving the location but came back a short time later and shot the victim.

This incident is being investigated as possibly gang related.

The victim is a 16 year-old resident of Long Beach.
