Detectives Seek Suspect(s) In Murder of West Covina Man

On Sunday, September 28, 2014, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Long Beach Police responded to a shots fired call in the area of 11th Street and Walnut Avenue, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

The preliminary investigation determined that the victim, identified as 26-year-old Guillermo Iturralde of West Covina, was walking down the street when someone in a nearby vehicle fired at him, and then fled the scene. Victim Iturralde was struck in the upper body and pronounced deceased at the scene by LBFD paramedics.

The victim was not a gang member and a motive for the shooting is unknown. No suspect information is available at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
