Dine in at Veggie Grille to Support Police Foundation’s Relay Team

Long Beach Police FoundationVeggie Grill, 6451 Pacific Coast Highway at the Marketplace is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Long Beach Police Foundation, Baker to Vegas Relay Team, on Thursday, February 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Proceeds, 50% of your food and beverage purchase*, will benefit the 2013 Long Beach Police Department’s (LBPD) Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay Team, please take a flyer or mention you are there to support the LBPF fundraiser.

The 120-mile Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay takes place on April 13-14, 2013 and involves more than 5,000 sworn police and military personnel, and over 20,000 volunteers from throughout the U.S. In 2012 the Long Beach Police Department’s  (LBPD) relay team placed third in their category and 15th overall – up from finishing 33rd overall in 2011.

LBPD maintains a high standard of service to the Long Beach community. Officers place a tremendous emphasis on fitness and training to help them better perform their duties.  In addition the original ideals of the Baker to Vegas Relay race continue: teamwork, camaraderie, physical fitness and competition.
